MAORI OVEN. 262 ft. Maoris in old time costume show tourists the ancient methods of preparing a Maori oven and cooking food in it.
WHITE HERONS. 153 ft. One of the rarest birds in New Zealand is the Kotuku, or White Heron, and this film shows two of these birds fishing in a river near Christchurch.
MERVYN TAYLOR, WOOD ENGRAVER. 447 ft. Recently awarded an Arts Scholarship is Mervyn Taylor, leading New Zealand wood engraver. The film shows how he draws his inspiration from New Zealand flora and fauna and from Maori legends, and also shows briefly the cutting of a new wood engraving.
