Colour 19 mins. 35mm 1,668 ft. Film Censor's Certificate No. G483 (15 February 1955) NFU Film Information Sheet No. 92 Cat. Refs. 1956 p.54, 58; 1957 p.66, 70; 1958 p.66, 72; 1962 p.85, 93. Gevacolour 19 mins. 35mm 1,668 ft. In New Zealand's South Island, high-country farmers run their flocks on vast sheep stations in the lee of the Southern Alps. In these great open spaces homesteads are widely separated, and life is tougher than in most other parts of New Zealand. In the autumn muster of 'the tops', shepherds and dogs work over peaks and around glaciers rounding up the scattered sheep until as many as 16,000 animals, in one great mob, are brought down to the lower levels for the winter.
