Full Description

Using historic film to recall the days when the country's railways were being built, The Ride of 480 tells how, after 60 years' work, locomotive 480 lay, a broken hulk, in a South Island yard. Restored by railway enthusiasts, the 480 was driven in an epic run up the South Island, across Cook Strait by ferry, and thence to Auckland.
