Full Description
In the north-east corner of the South Island is the province of Marlborough. Whalers and sealers came before English settlers arrived with their cattle and sheep. Farming is the backbone of the province's life, and sheltered waters of the Marlborough Sounds, which have 600 miles of coastline, are the finest cruising grounds in New Zealand for small boats.
