Full Description
Grass of different kinds feeds the world. The ripened fruit of grass like wheat, rice and corn are staple diet for millions while the stalks are food for cattle and sheep all over the world. At a time when many grasslands are threatened by industry and urban expansion grass in New Zealand is thriving, spreading. Grassgrowing is becoming an expanding science. This film examines the diverse roles played by grass in agriculture, sports, recreation and industry, along with its development and scientific refinement over the years.
